Clothing Ministry

PCE operates a used clothing store. Most of the clothes come from U.S. churches and are shipped to Panama via containers. This ministry provides not only much needed clothing, but also employment and opportunities to learn some basic management skills. Clothing can be purchased by the Guaymi people for a nominal fee. The monies collected pay the employees wages.

School & Schooling

One area of increasing need is in the area of education. Working in partnership with local schools, PCE has updated and assisted in renovating some area schools. More than three-hundred desks have been donated to the elementary schools.

Another area of need is for semi-permanent dormitory style housing for students from the far throws of the comarca who wish to attend high school. Since high school education is only available near the cities and towns, students must live close enough to the schools to walk. Many parts of the comarca are more than a days hike from the high schools, which requires these students to leave home and live near the school if they wish to pursue a higher education.

Food Ministry

Agriculture, both fruits and vegetables, are cultivated for use throughout the ministry. As the mission continues to grow, so will needs in this area.

Coffee

Boquete has an ideal climate and elevation for the growing of coffee. PCE has several acres under cultivation, which it uses for church meetings, mission groups and soon to export under the brand name "Mission Coffee." Part of the proceeds from your purchase will go to the support of PCE Mission.
